WHERE MEDICINE MEETS CREATIVITY AND COMPASSION

TYPES OF MODALITIES USED DURING TREATMENT

Each session is tailored to your body’s needs in the moment. While the following modalities may be incorporated, the specific treatment is determined by me—based on what I observe and feel while working with you.

Once you're on the table, I listen deeply to your tissue, energy, and breath. Your body tells me what it needs, and I respond accordingly.

Therapeutic Stretching

Passive-assisted stretching is used to encourage patients to reach their edge of flexibility without exceeding their comfort level. The practitioner slowly guides the patient through the stretching movements while being conscious of their physical limits.

Herbal Compress

Herbal Compresses are a wonderful heat (and aromatic) therapy. They are filled with a special blend of Thai herbs and steamed before being pressed onto fatigued muscles. These compresses assist with relaxing tissue, removing stagnation and increasing circulation.

Tok Sen

Tok Sen involves the use of gently tapping a wedge with a special wooden hammer to stimulate energy points throughout the body. The vibration from the hammer creates a deeply restorative feeling in the muscles. Patients often comment how meditative this treatment can feel.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha employs tools that have a thin but smooth edge. They are used to repetitively (but gently) rub the skin. Much like cupping, Gua Sha is designed to relieve tension in the muscles, boost blood circulation and encourage lymphatic drainage to banish inflammation. It also helps break up fascia, as well as, release muscle tension and toxins from the body.

Cupping

Therapy using suction to draw unwanted cellular debris to the skin to be eliminated. Cupping increases blood flow and can allow for healthy nutrients to pass through the tissue. The color pulled up to the skin can be used to diagnose inflammation, chronic injury sites or other types of dysfunction.

Liniments and Balms

Liniments and balms are medicated topical ointments that can be applied for spot-specific treatments of tension, pain, injury and a host of other ailments. Typically, they are rubbed into the skin for relief and also come in the forms of patches, sticks and sprays.

  • With over 20 years of experience and extensive ongoing education, my work is highly focused, personalized, and deeply intentional. Each session demands full physical, mental, and emotional presence-something I'm proud to offer every client. Because of the high level of care and attention I put into every appointment, I choose not to sell spa packages. This allows me to honor both my capacity and the quality of work my clients deserve

  • At this time, I do not sell gift cards. As a graduate student with a full academic schedule, I have limited availability and prefer to reserve openings for existing clients and appointments I can commit to personally.
